Description:
After discussing how to use metal lines in BM layer as sensors which located on the surface of color filter glass, then to start discussion using metal lines to make sensors on TFT array glass, SuperC-Touch have put forward in this regard dozens of possible options.
Wherein the structure used in TFT LCD, there are bound to face Vcom layer is interposed between the finger and the Sensor caused Shielding effect, This made all the technologies which detect the capacitance change are not feasible. The object of present invention is to solve the above problems and make it feasible. In present invention, Vcom layer is patterned to leave some gaps with respect to the locations of sensors which under Vcom layer, so the touch signals on sensors can penetrate those apertures to interact with the fingers and there is sufficient touch capacitance changes can measurements to.

Therefore, the present patent is an upstream essential patent for all the LCD touch panels which implant a variety of metal wires on the TFT array glass as Sensors. It has a critical position in in-cell technologies.

SUMMARY OF THE PATENT:
The present invention provides a liquid crystal display touch panel structure which includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a thin film transistor layer and a common electrode layer. The first and second substrate is located in parallel pairs and a liquid crystal layer is interposed between the two substrates. The thin film transistor layer is placed on the surface of the second substrate which faces the liquid crystal layer. The thin film transistor layer has K lines of gate driver line and L lines of source drive line. According to a display pixel signal and a display driving signal for driving the corresponding transistors and capacitors, and then performs a display operation. Common electrode layer is located between the first and the second substrate, the common electrode layer has a plurality of polygonal apertures, the plurality of polygonal apertures are located at the positions with respect to the thin film transistor layer, at least a portion of the gate drive lines and at least one parts of the source electrode driving lines.

Thanks for every predecessor’s questions about the third invention we mentioned before, also reply as follow:

(1) I have a greater interest in the patent of your company, " A Touch display panel with metal lines connected to touch sensor electrodes on V com layer ", could you please provide detailed information for reference?
There is doubt as follows:
Which layer does the sensor locate on? How many touch points could be implemented? What is the difference between your invention and the popular in-cell and On-cell? And so on…

Ans.:
1.      This invention is applied on general TFT LCD display panel, Therefore, V com is on the glass of the LCD color filter, the invention pattern the Vcom layer as touch sensors.
2.      The present invention over existing in cell / on cell production process even simpler, so, high yield and the cost will naturally be much cheaper.
3.      Using metal wires hidden below the BM to connect touch sensors and touch IC, so there is no problem of resistance, it will not reduce the aperture ratio or lower optical characteristics.
4.      The V com layer of the LCD is patterned as touch sensors. As V com layer itself is touch sensor, so, there is no capacitive effect problems caused by that sensors and V com is too close.
5.      If you worry about the noise from LCD display signals to impact on touch IC's signal detection, you can use such as Apple's in cell timesharing method to avoid it.    
6.      Because resistors, capacitance, noise, aperture ratio and optical properties five issues are resolved together, so it should not be a problem for majority of the touch IC design company to launch applicable touch IC.
7.      Can be more than 10 of the touch.
8.      Summary:
   The patent is the best solution of In Cell touch Panel. It is for easy mass production, high yield, the best optical properties, easy to find applicable touch IC, and can significantly decrease the cost.

  Considerably admire for your research in touch panel field.
  I would like to ask you for a few things as follow.   
1.      To Your Company’s touch LCD panel structure, since the existing IC can operate, why major manufacturers are still waiting to see whether is the cost considerations?
2.      Your company's touch IC development and production is expected to be completed within how much time? How to expect to be able to divide the existing market share?
Ans.:
1.      All manufacturers are the same as you, just received the notice of this patent, so it will take some time to digest its content.
2.      We set goals which are bigger than described in this patent, not short-term can be done to see if three years or more to finished. The touch IC technologies applicable to the patent cannot offer a challenge to me and I intend to challenge more difficult level.
